Product Description
This is a mini supplemental unit to go with a unit about exploration of the New World and the settlements of Jamestown, Roanoke, and Plymouth.

There are three sections to this pack:

1. Why Europeans Left for the New World
-lesson plans
-students will explore items that they may have found on an explorer's ship and learn their significance
-small group learning

2. Routes and exploration to the New World (explorers)
-lesson plans
-students will study about a particular explorer, write a biography using their notes, and create a doll that depicts their explorer
-students will get in small groups to present about their explorer and the others will take notes to show what they learned

3. Early English Settlements
-lesson plans
-students will be assigned a settlement to research
-they will take notes on their own and then create a paper slide project to present on their colony

For each of these, I have set it up as the 5E plan. (Engage, Explain, Explore, Elaborate, and Evaluate)

All writing activities, exit slips, etc. are included, too.

If you have any questions please email me prior to purchasing. I'm happy to answer any questions.

Thank you!
