⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vicki said, "My early finishers STAY challenged with these activities! I like that they are independent and individual activities. Everyone can stay focused!"

Here's how these games and activities are different from typical math center games!

Designed to be played by just one student, the activities still have competition and a “winner” at the end, aspects that will build a sense of excitement that you won’t usually find with a typical worksheet or other independent activities. All your students will need to play is dice and a way to mark their board or screen.

Suggestions are included for students who may not have dice available.

These games and activities are a great way to keep your early finishers or any of your students busy and learning without using lots of tedious worksheets!

Each of the addition and subtraction game sets includes one page games (no cards) in these formats...

☛ 10 full color board games (ten addition, ten subtraction)

☛ The same 10 board games in ink-saving black and white

☛ JPEGs of each of the colorful games, ready to use on digital devices with your favorite apps

In the sum searches, your students will find and circle sets of two or more addends that total each number (totals of 5-20). Here's what's included:

☛ 16 B/W puzzles for independent work

☛ 16 colorful board games for partner play

☛ JPEGs of all puzzles to make it easy for you to assign a specific puzzle on a digital device

In addition to using these with your fast finishers, here are some other ideas for you'll want to try for using these addition fact searches, addition games, and subtraction games!

☛ Great morning warm-up activities

☛ No-prep “Centers at Your Seat” activities

☛ An easy-to-differentiate follow-up activity to your math lesson

☛ These are the activities you've been looking for to use for substitute /
replacement teachers - easy to assign with no prep for you!

☛ Math intervention and RtI teachers, keep a folder or box of these games and
searches ready for you to grab and hand to a student when you need to give
closer attention to other students.

Whether they’re racing to beat the clock and perform a task faster than they did the previous time, or sorting the answers to addition problems to win a trophy, these are games that your students will love!

Don't keep your early finishers waiting... keep them LEARNING!

Solve word problems that call for addition of three whole numbers whose sum is less than or equal to 20, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
