Early Finisher task printables to use anytime!
Use these task sorts to create a center kit for early finishers. Here are 15+ FUN foundational skills lessons in language arts, designed to fit and support activity center based tasks, 2 page activity, enhancing reading fluency. Students will read thirty list words per lesson, circling word parts and applying grade level phonics and word analysis skills to read. Then on a second master create word lists sorts through a graphic organizer. Have students use combined knowledge of all letter sound correspondences, syllabication patterns, and morphology (roots and affixes) to read list words as a group, individually, or to a partner. After students have read list words, circled word chunks, students can spend the remaining lesson time recording their own top 10 favorite lists for seasonal favorites. Yes, get them reading and writing word lists.
Fictional, Four Seasonal Sam the Extreme Ram is the guiding character for every task printable with recorded example favorites of the Ram to read, then it is up to students to record their own favorites list. Use them as a whole class group activity, in guided reading , or as a Literacy Center Idea task. Challenge students for 100% word accuracy or timed read for creating rereading opportunities, a strategy of fluency practice. These lessons are a simple handout to read, reread, and brainstorm writing words within a context of student favorites. One master of the fifteen lessons bundled can be used to do partner interviews and another blank master can be used all year, for any writing topics, making endless lesson potential. Also, great for Gifted and Talented or individualizing work expectations. Thanks Mr. Get Them Fluent
