Product Description

A freebie sample of the pirate themed early finisher packet that challenges your advanced and gifted learners. The worksheets are first, second, and third grade appropriate. GATE inspired activities work for any student with guidance and support. An answer sheet is provided. These puzzles develop deductive reasoning which is an important skill for computer programing, science and math.

Three sample activities are included in the freebie:

Find The Galleons

A Pirate hid his lucky gold piece behind one of these numbered chests. Follow the clues to find his lucky coin. As you work, cross out any numbers that don’t fit the clue. Reinforces logic and critical thinking

Cannonball Chromatics

Students are introduced to chromatic graphing using the cannonballs. A chromatic number is the smallest number of colors needed to color the shapes so that no two adjacent shapes share a color. Reinforces logic and critical thinking.

Buried Treasure

A pirate is sailing to the buried treasure. Can you help him walk to the correct squares? Students use column and row values to build a path to the treasure. The columns have an assigned value, and the rows have a total. Students will add the columns to equal the assigned value of the row. They will glue a pirate onto the correct boxes (see example page). Reinforces addition.
