Wrapping up an Early Humans unit? Use this project to assess your students' knowledge! This project allows students to collaboratively analyze and report the impact of early humans.

With a partner or in groups of 3, create a Google Site on Early Humans and Hunter Gatherers.

In addition to answering the questions below, your site must include:

• One or more links to an outside resource

• An embedded video(s) relating to the topic

• A map imported from Google Maps

• 5 or more related images

Sample Questions:

*Complex Villages

Describe the basic characteristics of a complex village and analyze what the world would be like if simple villages didn’t develop into more complex villages

*Farming

Discuss the causes and effects of farming and explain how surpluses affected village life. In addition, design the ideal farm and explain the significance of each part

* Domestication

Explain how the domestication of plants and animals affected people’s lives. Construct a pros and cons list of domesticating animals and include an explanation for each pro and con.

*Nomads

Describe some of the changes that occurred in the way people lived as they changed from a nomadic to a settled way of life and hypothesize what would happen to nomads if they didn’t adapt to their environments
