These practice pages were created to be used in small groups, with assistance from the teacher. You can successfully use them in a whole group setting, as long as you help the children read the questions and identify some of the pictures.
These activity sheets are great for students who need help with one, two, a few, or many of the skills covered. You will need to read the questions with your students and help them identify the pictures. Answer keys are included for you so you can easily identify the pictures.
For many of the skills, the same question is asked in a few different ways. The children really have to pay attention to key words such as; same, different, begins with, ends with, does, does not, etc. This will help students who have difficulty following directions. Many times, children understand the skill, but don’t pay close attention to the directions, so they often choose the wrong answer. Go through the questions slowly and always take the time to discuss why an answer is correct/incorrect.
