This Google Docs timeline activity is a differentiated and individualized lesson that guides students to learn about the Early Presidential Administrations and how they expanded the power of the federal government and elections that showed peaceful transitions of power. This timeline requires students to research 7 events that span from the Washington Administration though the Election of 1824. I use this timeline at the beginning of my unit on the Early Presidential Administrations. This activity helps students gain a basic understanding of these administrations and elections that were peaceful transitions of power that I can reference throughout the unit. This activity could also be used to at the end of the unit for review.
