The students will practice reading the same sentences on one slide with a variety of punctuation. Each slide says the same sentence three different ways~ including a period, exclamation mark, and question mark. The file includes beginning sight words such as I, am, little, the, to, a, have, is, we, my, like, he, for, me, with, she, see, look, they, you, of, are, that, do, go, here, from, what, said, was, where, and come.
I purchase the Halloween Fake Fingers so that students can track their reading as they go. We practice reading with expression using the punctuation to guide our voice.
This is a great activity for literacy work stations or together as a class. You could easily project the slides on your board and read them together.
When I print these cards, I will typically change "Full Page Slides" to "2 Slides" per page. This saves on the paper and ink!
Look for the "Primary Reading Cards" as well. The words used in the packet are Dolch Words and Word Families.
