The Early US History Game Project is fully editable, so you may personalize it for your own American History, US History, APUSH, or other relevant class.
This resource is a fun way for students to interact with early US History by synthesizing and evaluating the information they have learned, and then designing and creating their own board game. The Early US History Game Project can be done as an individual or group assignment.
The Early US History Game Project contains the project assignment prompt and directions, as well as a project checklist, a game board instructions template, a couple of peer review sheets (one for the rough draft and another for the final project), and a detailed rubric. Each element of this resource can be edited to work with your specific curriculum.
With this project, students will analyze the significant events in the founding and beginning of the nation. They will analyze the origins of the American Revolution, the debates on the drafting and ratification of the Constitution, and the addition of the Bill of Rights. Students will also examine the effects of the Civil War and Reconstruction.
