This a review game that I call "Give a Clue." It reviews early US History - to 1877.
How to Play:
Students stand up and pair up. You can also do groups of 4. Half of each group faces your projector screen and the other half of each group has their back to the screen. You project a slide from the game on your screen. The students facing the screen give clues to their group (with their backs to the screen) to try and get them to guess each of the items they see. After 2-3 minutes you debrief with them, then students switch places.
This is an active review game that allows for students to take the lead! If you listen carefully, you'll be able to tell immediately what they are still struggling with and can debrief/review accordingly.
This product covers the Texas Standards (TEKS) - but since I've left this in Power Point, you can edit and adjust to fit your state standards if necessary.
What is included with this purchase:
-detailed teacher instructions
-War of 1812
-Age of Jackson
-Authors and Artists
-Causes of the Civil War
The game is pretty massive, so I use it by era/topic so that I can review a little bit each day prior to our STAAR test.
