This is a four part unit by Reading Through History outlining the Alien and Sedition Acts, the Election of 1800, a Thomas Jefferson biography, and a lesson explaining the infamous duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. Each lesson is followed by three pages of student activities which include multiple choice questions, guided reading activities, vocabulary questions, student summaries, and a student response essay question. Each lesson covers about 30 to 35 minutes of class time.
