These Earth Day activities for elementary school are a cross-curricular way to instill helping the Earth and practicing writing skills in your students. Use the Earth Day activities in school to discuss and suggest ways to help the Earth, even in your youngest students. Several grades would benefit from the Earth Day activities- kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, etc!

There are four different Earth Day printables available in this Earth Day resource. They involve recycling, composting, conserving, and taking care of our Earth.

This resource is part of my LABEL AND COLOR series! Labeling a picture is a great way for any beginning writer to practice writing words phonetically by translating the sounds in their head to letters to write on paper! I've also included a "Write and Color" page too, now that some of your writers are becoming more independent, and can write sentences, not just words!

I have differentiated this activity into 4 pages, so no matter where your students are at, they will be practicing these important skills! They will:

- Label the Beginning Sound (These work best as Earth Day Activities for Preschool and Kindergarten)

- Trace the Labels (Perfect Earth Day Activities for English Language Learners)

- Label (Build the skill of inventive spelling in your K-2nd grader!)

- Write Sentences about the picture (These are awesome Earth Day activities for second grade and third grade!)

Also, it's as easy as clicking PRINT to use these! No extra work for you as a teacher- always a time saver! I've written lots of tips and tricks in there for you too- so you won't be left hanging! :)

I use these Label and Color products in a literacy center about every two weeks for my students to practice labeling. I switch the picture up by the theme or holiday we're learning about. More Label and Color activities are on their way from me, and the best way to get them all is purchasing my bundle!
