Earth Day Brochure Activity.....Get your students thinking about Earth Day
with this fun brochure activity. It will work perfectly for an interactive notebook, too!
The is a double fold (sides fold to the center) brochure that is filled with writing opportunities. Students will fill in the following:
*Name some things that harm the Earth.
*Write an acrostic poem for the word Earth.
*How can you help recycle?
*Picture of me working to save the Earth.
*Write a paragraph encouraging people to take are of the Earth.
*Create a catch slogan and an advertisement for a newspaper that would convince people to help save the Earth.
Note: The last writing activity mentioned above is on the back of the brochure. If you choose to glue this activity into an interactive journal, your students simply will not do that activity. They will put glue on the back and that will be the part that is glued onto the journal page.
This is a great follow up activity to a class read aloud, such as using the book The Great Kapok Tree.
