Addition Math Centers
(Sums of 0-10)
Earth Day Addition Math Centers provide inviting math centers for learners to practice addition facts. These activities are a fun alternative to addition worksheets. There are 5 addition clip card math centers activities in this packet. Each activity has 12 clothespin clip cards and a recording sheet. There is an addition fact and a choice of three sums printed on each clothespin clip card. The cards and recording pages have matching Earth Day graphics. The graphics include kids recycling plastic jugs, kids properly disposing of trash, kids holding a model of the earth, a girl with a reusable shopping bag, the earth surrounded by hearts, and the earth surrounded by a reduce reuse recycle symbol. This resource can be used for Earth Day or at any time during the year.
Print, laminate, and cut out the clothespin clip cards. Print the recording sheet that goes with the clothespin clip cards. You will need 12 clothespins for each activity.
Learners clip a clothespin on the correct sum or they can use dry erase markers to circle the correct sum. You may opt to make these cards self-checking by writing the answer on the back or marking a dot on the back at the correct spot.
After selecting the correct sum, learners write the equation and sum on the recording sheet.
Earth Day Addition Math Centers help learners develop addition fluency and support the Math Common Core Standards for Operations and Algebraic Thinking.
The graphics used in Earth Day Addition Math Centers are from My Cute Graphics.
