This packet was created to cover several different language
concepts with an Earth Day theme. While it was created to be used during the month of April, it can certainly be used year round.
The following skills are targeted: categories, conversation starters, pronouns, irregular past tense, listening for details, category sort (paper vs. plastic), describing, and narrative writing.

-18 Sprouting Categories: students name 3-5 things within the given category (pg. 5-6)
-18 “Heart Starts” Conversation Starters: students read the prompt and practice conversational skills (pg. 7-8)
18 Pronoun Earth Kids: students decide which pronoun (he, she, they) replaces the name (pg. 9 visual, pg. 10-11)
-18 Fix Up the Earth Sentences: students correct the irregular past tense verb (pg. 12-13)
-18 Listening For Details Leaves: students listen to the short story and answer related questions (pg. 14-15)
-12 Paper vs. Plastic Sort: students sort items (pg. 16) onto the proper side of the mat (pg. 17), can print 2 copies for a memory game
-18 Describing Trees: students pull a card and describe the Spring/Earth Day related vocabulary (pg. 19-20) using the describing visual (pg.18)
-5 narrative writing pages (pg. 21-25)
