In this inquiry-based lesson, students investigate different causes of global warming using a variety of resources. Students nominate a cause of global warming that they deem to be the most important to address. Students act as advocates for the area of change. They offer a persuasive presentation that includes the problem and suggested solutions.
This is language arts (persuasion and non-fiction text analysis), science (global warming is part of new science standards), and social studies (people, places, and environments) rolled into one engaging project. Use as part of your Earth Day celebrations or when studying global environments.
Also available at 20% savings in climate change in the classroom bundle.
