Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd but really Earth Day is EVERY DAY! Here's a simple way to celebrate earth's special day.
*Earth Day Headbands (2 versions in B&W and color)
*Extender Bands with 2 options in B&W and color
*2 Signs for a door or bulletin board: I love the earth...MY HOME! Every Day is EARTH DAY!
*Matching Necklaces to color (2 versions in B&W)
*Writing Flip Craft: Earth cover (2 versions) and 3 writing paper options (I will..., blank lines for a response, or a blank page for an illustration)
*Print the headband in color to use as a teacher sample. For band 1, draw a picture of something you can reduce/reuse/recycle. For band 2, draw and write things you can do to help the earth in each circle.
*For students, print the headband pieces on white cardstock or construction paper in B&W. Choose which extender band you would like your kids to use. One band fits most kids. Tape or staple the band to fit.
*For the necklaces, print on white cardstock or construction paper and have students color the earth. They can also write and illustrate their earth day pledge on the back. Punch the hole at the top and string with yarn or ribbon.
*For the writing flip craft, decorate the cover with markers, crayons, or paint. I like to use tear art with construction paper to make it really pop.
*Print which writing pages you want to use. I like to use the "I will" page for students to write their earth day pledges and the blank page for them to illustrate something they will do help the earth. Staple the completed pages to the back of the cover and hang!
