A Brief History of Earth Day is designed as an informational text unit for both History and Science for grades 9-11 and strong grade 8 students. There are three texts on the history of Earth Day (An Idea is Born, Earth Day 1970, and Earth Day Since 1970) with a page of comprehension/ opinion questions for each text, as well as a vocabulary activity.

The video is divided into five segments about different cities across the U.S. There are 5 sections of questions (comprehension and opinion) and one added writing and research activity for students to complete concerning the current Earth Day.
Answer keys are included for all activities.
