Help your students investigate how Earth Day began and reflect on how they do their part by taking care of the environment. Students will cut out and fill in a 4-section tabbed handbook that chronicals the History of Earth Day with a timeline. It uses my History of Earth Day Freebie
Also included are two video links that students can use to fill in the timeline. The four tabs of the handbook are:
1. The History of Earth Day
2. Student Reflection - student reflect on what they are currently doing to help the environment at home, in their neighborhood, in the classroom, and on the playground.
3. New Goals - so students can set new goals for taking care of the environment at home, in their neighborhood, in the classroom and on the playground.
4. Research - students choose an Earth Day topic to research and take notes in the fourth section.
Two different foldable books are included so students can do a final draft or report of their research.
