Day 1: Build background/Acrostic Poem—Why is the Earth important to us? Why should we take good care of it? (Earth Acrostic Poem)
Day 2: How can we protect the earth? (Protecting our Planet—idea web or T-chart)
Day 3: Recycling—Read Recycle: A Handbook for Kids or watch a recycling YouTube video—discuss how recycling helps the Earth and how to recycle (Recycling Bin Sort)—Students could also look through old magazines for pictures of things they can recycle and place those in the bins instead of draw.
Day 4: Plant Needs-Discuss what a plant needs to grow (Plant Needs worksheet)
Day 5: Use adjectives to describe a flower (Flower Adjectives)
