Every April we spend a week or more learning about Earth Day, taking care of our planet, and natural resources. To help students understand these important concepts, I incorporate them into my read alouds. In this packet are in-depth read aloud plans for an entire week focused on Earth Day. To extend our learning further, I also often do a follow-up worksheet or activity. These are also included (along with directions)!
The read alouds in this packet are:
- Recycle: A Handbook for Kids by: Gail Gibbons
- Our Earth by: Anne Rockwell
- Michael Recycle by: Ellie Bethel
- Recycle Every Day! by: Nancy Elizabeth Wallace
- The Lorax by: Dr. Seuss
