Earth Day Little Flipper

Here is a perfect booklet for using on Earth Day!! Create a six-page mini booklet with your students to research and learn more about this fun day. It is a fabulous way to introduce or reinforce your student’s knowledge of a science topic. This Little Flipper is also perfect for a quick study or as a project during STEM Challenges.

When students have completed the writing and illustrating, the flippers are easy to cut out and staple together. The templates in this product make one mini flipper book. The books are 8 x 5 inches in size when completed. They will fit in a composition notebook.

Included are simple teacher directions, 2 choices of covers in color and 2 in black/white, the 6 page flipper book, an extra page if students need more space, and an Earth Day poster set! The poster set includes “Earth Day”, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, and “What Can You Do?” Also included are vocabulary strips to display as you work. Sample answers are also in the resource.

These little flippers would be perfect for introducing Earth Day, independent center work, early finishers, substitute days, or as homework tasks.

Students will:

• List facts about Earth Day.
• List ways to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
• Write an Acrostic Poem using the letters EARTH.
• Match vocabulary words to meanings
• Complete a vocabulary puzzle
• Research a topic of their choice.
