Celebrate Earth Day with facts about our planet and related math word problems. On each pennant is a fact about Earth and a word problem to go along with it, like "How long would it take a Monarch butterfly to fly 2,500 miles?" or "How many times faster than Earth is the fastest jet"?

Each pennant has a picture to color that relates to the fact and word problem. All word problems can be solved with addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. Once a pennant is complete, it can be colored and then hung along a string in your classroom to celebrate Earth Day.

Included in this activity are 20 pennants, an answer sheet (if you would like students to also record their answers for credit) and an answer key. The pennants inside are 2 sizes: one set is a full-page and the other set is 1/2-page size. You can choose which size you'd like to print. Includes both print + interactive digital versions

*pennants include customary or metric measurements.
