Do you want your students to learn how to use research to prove their opinion? This unit is a research based opinion writing using "The Great Kapok Tree" by Lynne Cherry. The students will write their opinion on deforestation by using sources I provided or online research. They will learn how to quote text evidence and go through the entire writing process.
They can do this on paper or Google Drive!
