My students love listening to content rich, engaging read alouds. I constantly change our listen to reading books based on the holiday's and our theme subjects. I am very excited to have these wonderful read alouds for my students to listen to around Earth Day! These 19 printable QR codes are the perfect way to incorporate multiple pieces of literature into your classroom library.
All the OR codes are linked to a SafeShare.tv read aloud. Students will simply scan the code with a scanning device (iPod, iPad, or iPhone), press play, and listen to the read aloud.
I use these cards in my classroom and the kids love it! I laminate the cards, put them on a binder ring, and store them close to our listening devices.
These codes are awesome for any grade. My first graders use them every day with little to no direction. They are perfect for Listen to Reading during a Daily Five block.
The following stories are included in this pack. If you would like a specific read aloud added, please let me know!
-Earth Day - Hooray!
-Earth Day Every Day
Fancy Nancy Every Day is Earth Day
-Biscuit's Earth Day Celebration
-It's Earth Day!
-Earth Day, Birthday!
-The EARTH Book
-The Busy Beaver
-The Wump World
-Curious George Plants a Tree
-Gabby & Grandma Go Green
-The Earth and I
-Why Should I Recycle?
-Our Tree Named Steve
-What if Everybody Did That?
-I Can Save the Earth
The code links can become broken. If that happens, please let me know and I will fix them immediately! I caution you about color printing and laminating because of this. I don't want you to waste precious ink! If you print the product and the codes don't show (but everything else does), it is likely an issue with the printer mirroring the codes. I haven't quite figured out what causes that. If this happens, try to print to a different computer. The larger company printers work best.
