This is a logic puzzle that asks your students to determine the number of cans and letters six people in the puzzle recycled. Good as a bellringer activity, part of an emergency lesson plan when you have to be out unexpectedly, as a puzzle for your students that finish an assessment before other students, or even for those last twenty minutes before the bell. Could be used on Earth Day by any subject, but probably dovetails best in a class studying mathematics or ecology/environmental issues.
This logic puzzle is included in a larger packet of seven logic puzzles I offer. The packet is a 50% savings overbuying each puzzle "ala cart." You can find the packet here: Logic and Critical Thinking Puzzles
This is a moderately challenging logic puzzle, using clues that require logical thinking and addition and subtraction of three digit numbers. It's probably best suited for grades 6 - 10, but you know your students better than anyone...with a few clues here and there, younger students could enjoy this puzzle too.
I have included two page styles - 1 is " 2 up" to save paper, and the other has blank space at the bottom for students to show their thinking.
Answer key is provided.
