Earth Day is a very important day. I created this pack so Earth Day activities can be incorporated while creating narrative writings, opinion writings and informational writings. Here is what is included:
Earth Day Roll-A-Story
Students will be able to write a narrative story using the character, time and setting and problem that they rolled from the Earth Day roll-a-story board. They will complete a graphic organizer to organize their thoughts, write a rough draft and finally use the final copy papers provided.
You know everyone has their own thoughts on what is most important for the Earth. Well, here is your chance to prove why your opinion is the best! Students will brainstorm ideas about caring for Earth and then select one to write their opinion on why it is the most important for them to take care of Earth. They will use the rough draft guide paper to help them write their opinion writing and then finally use the provided final copy opinion writing paper for their final opinion writing.
Earth Day is the celebration of the Earth and the importance of caring for the Earth. Students will use the Earth Day informational text to answer research questions using the research papers that are provided about Earth Day. After they have their research done, they will then complete the rough draft pages provided to form their informational paragraphs about Earth Day. Finally two options are avaiable for the final copy. Final copy papers with The Earth or an Earth flip book. Either way you can't go wrong publishing facts about one of the most important days for our planet.
