Celebrate Earth Day with this 2 page reading passage and it's matching Foldable Mini book titled "Ready to Recycle". This article discusses the concept of recycling, what materials can be recycled, and how recycled materials become new materials. In addition to the 2 page article (and it's matching foldable mini book both written and a 4.9 - 5.9 aproximate reading level), you receive five practice pages, which include:
- 1 page of constructed response questions
- 1 page of sequencing & multiple choice questions
- 1 page graphic organizer
- 1 page vocabulary matching
- 1 page writing activity
These foldable mini books have been very popular in both my own classroom, and that of colleagues and other classrooms across the country. We keep them inside envelopes glued to a page inside our science / social studies interactive notebooks, but they could be used for other purposes. The 2 page article is exactly the same, and is designed for those who do not have the time to do the foldable in class, or for those with students who have fine motor skill issues and can't do the foldable.
