This power point combines 3 sub-sections of Earth Science: Theories, Plate Movement, and Layers of the Earth. The slides include key vocabulary/concepts, an image, and a definition/explanation. Additionally, there are periodic opportunities for formative assessment where students work with a partner or individually to complete fill-in-the-blank questions dealing with the presented content. At the end of the slide show, there is also an highly engaging review game called "hot seat," which includes key vocabulary from the slide show. Step-by-step instructions are included in the power point notes section below that particular slide. Throughout the completion of this exercise, students will employ all four language domains: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
