The informational text books that are included have estimated lexile levels of 270L, 320L, and 430L - perfect for Kindergarten through Second Grade students! **Can also use for lower 3rd grade students, depending on the reading level of students.

There are 20 informational graphic organizers included- there is a lot of variety in the graphic organizers and they are EASY to use! I've included graphic organizers that are grade level and core standard specific. You can choose which ones you use, depending on the time you have, what core standards you are focusing on, or focus on all of the standards throughout the study of the topic and it will last you for a couple of weeks! The graphic organizers help you teach the following Core Standards for K-2nd grades:

RI.1: Ask and Answer Questions; Key Details; Drawing Inferences
RI.2: Main Topic and Key Details; Summarizing the text
RI.3: Connecting two details in a text
RI.4: Clarify the meaning of unknown words and phrases;
RI.5: Text Features, Cause and Effect
RI.6: Main purpose of the text and illustrations; Point of View; Analyzing Text
RI.7: Explaining illustrations and how it contributes to the topic
RI.8: Supporting points the author makes
RI.9: Compare and contrast two texts on the same topic
RI.10: Read and comprehend grade level texts.
