There can be a lot of tricky vocabulary in Earth science unit of biological history. Use these flashcards as a study tool, memory game, or matching game!
If using as study flashcards, print on card stock. Fold pages in half hot-dog style and glue to hold together. Have student write sentences using the vocabulary word in the left box under the definition and draw an illustration in the right box under the definition.
If using as a game or task cards, print and laminate. Then cut out each box individually, so student can match to the definition. You may choose to have students draw a picture before laminating.
I also have students write the part of speech in the top right hand corner of the card with the vocabulary word and draw a circle around the term using the color aligned with the parts of speech according to my adapted version of Fitzgerald Key's color coding.
