This fact sheet is designed to be used with any biome.
Create a collection or file of these to compare and contrast biomes throughout the Earth.
Enlarge this file at a local printing company/education agency or via a SmartBoard, Elmo, or other projection devices to use as an anchor chart.
Use this chart as a pretest and/or posttest for a specific biome.
Include this sheet in a student's interactive notebook or subject area portfolio.
One way to differentiate this chart is to allow students to choose how they will complete each of the boxes. Some students might choose to write in the boxes, some students might choose to cut out pictures to glue in the boxes, some students might choose to illustrate the boxes, and some students might choose to do a combination thereof.
Stations could be created in which each station features a different biome with coordinating reference materials. Students/groups move from station to station completing a chart for each chosen biome.
Each student could be assigned this chart and allowed to research the biome of his/her choosing. Discussions and further research could ensue about similarities, differences, outcomes, blessings, and difficulties of each biome.
If more differentiation is needed, allow/assign students to complete only certain boxes based on need, preference, skill, strengths, and interests.
Assign different parts of the chart to different students and allow students to share information.
