The assessment aligns with my other product Earth's Systems NGSS Unit with Experiments, Content, and Engaging Activities. The assessment is broken into two parts; Earth's Spheres and Water Distribution. The beginning portion of the test asks students to think critically about their individual interactions with the spheres, create a visual representation and write a paragraph which clearly describes their visual. In addition to this, students are asked to provide a definition for each of the five spheres and explain how the spheres interact with each other. For the water distribution portion of the test students are asked to describe and graph the amounts and percentages of water and fresh water in various reservoirs to provide evidence about the distribution of water on Earth. The assessment includes rubrics and student friendly learning targets.
