These directions are for printing the single peeps cards with onsets, back to back so they look appealing when placed face down. OR You can simply print the file as is, and leave the back sides of the single peeps onset cards plain, OR you can glue the backings onto the cards.

Print page 1 & 2 (these directions and TPT seller and clip art information).
Print page 3 – Single Peeps with onsets (beginning consonants, digraphs, & 2 and 3 letter blends)
Place page 3 in the printer’s paper tray face up and facing you.
Print page 4, and the reverse images of the Peeps will print out on the back.
Print page 5 – more single peeps with onsets
Place page 5 back in the printer’s paper tray face up and facing you.
Print page 6, and the reverse images of the single peeps will print out on the back.
Continue in this manner with pages 7-10 until all of the single onset peeps and their backings have been printed.
Print pages 11-35. You are done printing!

CONTENTS:
Pages 3-10 are single peeps with onsets (beginning consonants, digraphs & 2 and 3 letter blends) and backings. Cut up into cards.
Pages 11-15 are double peeps with more complex rimes (all vowels are included). These can be cut up into cards and used as rimes cards to blend with the single onset peeps. Students can decide if each word is real or nonsense. OR, you can keep each sheet together (without cuttng) and use them as game boards for students.
Pages 16-21 are Onset Rime Bingo game with 6 MIXED vowel game boards for students who are more advanced.
Pages 22-23 are 4 optional student Word Builder Awards, 2 in color, and 2 in black and white.
Pages 24-31 are 8 optional recoding sheets. One type is for students to record the real cvc words they build. The other type is for the second way to use this activity where the student decides if a word is real or nonsense. The recording sheets are in color and black and white. Color, if you’d like to laminate them and have students write in erasable markers as they play the games and in black and white for students to write on with pencil and then color.
Pages 32-35 are 4 pages of clip art borders that can be folded lengthwise and slipped over the edges of an inverted copy paper lid or file fold box or lid. That way, you can place the cards face down in a container, and students can simply draw cards from the container.

Directions for Bingo:
Place single peep onsets face down in a copy paper lid (decorated with the clip art sides incuded).
Students take turns picking one onset peep and blending it with the rimes on his or her Bingo game board. If a real word is made, the student places that peep on the rime square and records it on his/her recording sheet. The first one to get Bingo is the winner. OR You can play a version where the first student to fill his or her card is the winner.

Another Way to Play – Real or Nonsense
Students pick an single onset peep card and see which words they can create with one gameboard. They record the real words in the first column and the nonsense words in the second column. I have included recording sheets set up for this activity.

A Third Way to Play
Cut up a set of the single onset peeps and the double peep rime cards. Students simply create words using the peeps, and record them in the correct column on their recording sheets: Real or Nonsense?
