Check out these Easter Baskets
I decided to create these flip books as a fun way to celebrate Easter in a non-religious way. These flip books will make an excellent hallway or bulletin board display especially since there are 3 different designs to choose from. They will also fit in an interactive notebook. I copied these as a booklet and put them out as a centre. Since my students have completed other flip books, they did not need my help in cutting and assembling the pages. If your students have not assembled this type of flip book before, you could still use them as a centre but I recommend at least demonstrating how to assemble the flip book. You know your students best.
You will need 3 sheets of 8.5 by 11 paper for each book. Its possible that a student who wants to write more may need additional pages which may need to be copied.
On the activity pages students are asked to:
Color the cover page.
Cryptogram - use the chart below page two to complete the cryptogram (How many eggs fit in an empty basket? Answer: Just one - after that it’s not empty!)
Making Words - cut apart the letter (H-A-P-P-Y E-A-S-T-E-R) and rearrange the letters to make different words. Record them in the flip book.
B-U-N-N-Y acrostic poem. I encourage older students to write phrases rather than just single words.
Students write about what they look forward to most on the weekend.
