Students will create an Easter basket for themselves by clipping pictures from sales ads. Students will need 4 candy items, 2 items that are non-food (toys/games/etc.), and 2 items they get to choose.
Students will add the cost of each item in their basket. Then they will compare the cost to make their basket with 5 classmates. Students will find the difference in price and then order them from least to greatest.
Students are practicing adding decimals/money, subtracting decimals/money, and comparing and order decimals/money.
Great activity for before Easter break! You can have your students do some “shopping” and practice real life math skills!
