The objective of this new Easter activity/game is work on identifying meanings for some multiple meaning words. To accomplish this task, students must find the basket (labelled with a multiple meaning word) and match it with the two eggs that have their meaning on them. (i.e. Trunk - an elephant's nose, a part of a tree)
One variation of the game: The baskets are divided up among the students. The eggs are shuffled. One egg card is placed up at a time. Students will determine if they have the word that matches the definition on the egg. The first person to get 2 eggs for all of their baskets is the winner.
**A second variation on this game may be to shuffle all the egg cards(with definitions on them) . Teacher turns over one basket. Then, you can have all the definitions spread out on the table and have students grab the correct defintions/meanings. You could also flip the meaning cards over one at a time and play "slap the egg" or Slapjack with the cards. The person with the most eggs is the winner.
Included in the Download:
* 22 multiple meaning word baskets
* 44 multiple meaning definition eggs
* a set of blank baskets for your own examples
* a set of blank eggs for your own examples
