Fun writing activities for Easter time, focused on candy! Several writing activities that practice important skills, while still enjoying the holiday time. Different writing tasks include hyperbole writing, persuasive writing, and descriptive writing.

To ensure inclusion (and flexibility), there are alternate versions that do not focus on the Easter Holiday specifically and are either more general or spring-focused.

For the Marshmallow Treat persuasive writing, students may be given/ offered Marshmallow Chicks, such as Peeps brand, to support their writing. Alternately, there is a Holiday Candy writing topic (same information, just a modified focus)—students might bring in their candy to share, or write about candy offered in class.
