Product Description
After seeing a basic recipe for dyeing eggs, students will identify all of the possible variables that could affect how the egg is colored. In groups, they will select one variable to investigate in a controlled experiment. This lesson assumes that students have had experience throughout the year in conducting controlled experiments and working in inquiry groups. Important vocabulary, such as independent variable, dependent variable, and constants, are emphasized. With extra teacher support, this lesson could also provide an introduction to these concepts. This is a perfect EGGS-periment to tie in science inquiry around Easter!
