Students fill Easter baskets by choosing the correct type and number of Easter eggs according to the fraction given in the instructions in this fun and engaging math center activity. The packet includes:
-16 work mats- each with three baskets to fill
-8 using mostly fractions with like denominators
-8 requiring determining equivalent fractions using a denominator equal to the number of eggs
-a page with guided lesson steps for solving the Easter fraction problems
-Easter-themed recording sheets that provide space for your students to "show their work"
-an answer key with a picture of a basket filled with the correct number of eggs & the blanks filled with correct numbers
-2+ pages of a variety of Easter eggs to copy, mount on cardstock, and laminate to be used in the center
This center provides students with plenty of hands-on practice with fractions in a "real world" situation that doesn't involve slicing pizza! :)
