Glyphs tell about the person who made them! Glyph is short for hieroglyphics. It's art with information! Think of it as taking your art to a new level! Print the attached pages. Copy the egg shape onto pink, green and yellow construction paper. When the lesson begins the children select a color based on which holiday is their favorite. They cut out the egg and then add a design and decoration according to the Legend, using markers or cotton swabs dipped in paint and small stickers. When the Easter egg is complete it will tell about the student who made it! Anyone who reads the glyph will know which holiday is favored, if the Easter bunny visits their home, how many letters are in their name and if they participate in an egg hunt! Your students will LOVE it!
