I created this Easter game to assist my students with reading automaticity and fluency. I used words with blends, diagraphs, vowel combinations, phonograms and word endings covered in the first grade Pearson reading series. The Pearson series moves quickly and this game gives my students a review of covered content. I’ve put these words on colorful cards and included two game boards. I’ve also included a spelling recording sheet to use with fluent readers who need spelling practice. This game can be used during a small reading group, immediate intensive intervention (iii) group, as an RtI activity, or with a volunteer.
This game has the same words as my Valentine’s Word Reading Game-just with an Easter theme!
