The story problems are a mix between one step addition and subtraction and multi-step addition and subtraction. Just the cut the story problem strips and fold them into plastic eggs.
I numbered my eggs to match the strips so they could record the number that they are working on on the recording paper that is given. Hide them around your classroom and have students find one at a time to work on.
You could print multiple copies and put your class in groups. These could also be used in a station during math. I let my students work in partners and use multiple strategies to solve the story problems. Enjoy!
