This packet is designed to help your students practice listening for details and describing. The activities all use fun Easter egg pictures.
1) Easter Egg Bingo- Each Bingo card contains pictures of 24 different Easter eggs. There are 20 Bingo cards included. The calling cards on pages 22-24 contain 3 clues that describe each egg to help your students practice listening for details and making inferences. You can also let your students take turns describing the eggs to each other.
2) Easter Egg Sorting- There are larger pictures of the same 24 Easter eggs on pages 24-26 that you can use for sorting activities (you can also use these cards as calling cards for the Bingo game if you want your students to match the pictures instead of listen to descriptions). Cut out the Easter egg cards and the basket cards on pages 26-33. Each basket has a description written on it such as “find all the eggs that have yellow flowers” or “find all the eggs that have blue stripes, but not yellow stripes.” Your students have to find all the eggs that should go with the basket. There are 24 basket cards as well as 2 blank baskets so you can add your own descriptions.
3) Easter Similarities and Differences- Each card contains a picture of two Easter eggs. Students must describe how the eggs are alike and how they are different. There are 18 cards.
4) Design Your Own Easter Egg- There is a page with a blank Easter egg that your students can color. There is a blank writing page for older students to write a description about their eggs. There is also a writing page with prompts to help younger students describe their eggs.
