Description
Easter Egg Showdown is a fun review game for any subject that can be played as a whole class or in cooperative learning teams. Before the game begins, problems or questions are written on small task cards and hidden inside plastic eggs. Students take turns choosing an egg and reading the problem or question aloud for the team or the class. Everyone writes the answer to the question without talking. When all players are finished, they reveal their answers. Game directions, 10 sets of ready-to-use task cards, and answer keys are provided. Editable PowerPoint templates are located in a separate folder which you can use to create your own task cards.
Note: Easter Egg Showdown was updated on April 6th to include a whole-class variation of the game called Easter Egg Hunt Scoot. For this activity, the teacher places one task card inside each of 24 plastic eggs and hides them around the room. Students then hunt for the eggs, solve the problems on the task cards, and record their answers on the recording form provided. To obtain the Easter Egg Hunt Scoot directions and the recording form, download the product file again and open the folder titled "Easter Egg Hunt Scoot Variation.
