This homework activity is a fun way to strengthen critical thinking skills for your little ones! Students bring home an empty plastic egg and are asked to find an object that fits inside the egg. They write 3 clues (with assistance if needed) about what is inside their egg. They bring the egg and clue sheet back to school to share with the class. Clues are read aloud by the student, while fellow classmates record their guess on the recording sheet. After all students have guessed, the object inside the egg is revealed. I have done this activity in both kindergarten and second grade classrooms and it is very popular with the students! Lots of fun!
