Your kiddos will LOVE measuring with the Easter Bunny! A great activity to use in math stations!
This packet contains the following:
1. Measuring with Eggs (non-standard): Students measure each other using eggs. Simply print out the eggs, tape them to a wall. Students measure each other and complete the record sheet. My students love to see how tall they are!!
2. Measuring with the Easter Bunny- Students measure Easter picture cards using standard or non-standard measurement. A ruler is provided or use one inch snap cubes. This activity can also be used as a Measure Around the Room Activity - place the cards around the classroom. Students find each card, measure and record. OR place the cards in a Sensory tub. This is one of my students' favorite stations! I simple place the cards in a Rubbermaid box filled with shredded paper, rice, beans, etc. During Easter, I fill the box with Easter grass! They LOVE it! Students find a card, measure and record. OR place the cards in a small group station. Students choose a card, measure and record.
3. Jelly Bean Measuring - Students measure objects on the picture cards using the Jelly Bean Ruler (included) OR real jelly beans! A favorite activity in my classroom. Students color the ruler on the recording page to show how long/tall each object is.
