The Easter Bunny has had enough! He is quitting hiding eggs, but wants your students help convincing him which forest friend would be the best replacement. They all want the job, but your student must give details to support their opinion on who would be best! After the students pick one of the 9 forest animals included, they must write an opinion piece on why they chose that animal, and then top their writing with an adorable picture of the animal they have chosen. This makes for a great monthly writing to be hung up!
This fun craftivity includes:
-A letter from the Easter Bunny himself explaining the predicament
-Cards for each animal option explaining their strengths and weaknesses for the job
-A bubble map to brainstorm their ideas
-A rough draft writing paper
-9 animals to choose from and then color:
-4 options for final draft papers (2 with room to draw a picture, two without)
My students have so much fun with these writing activities, and the added letter from the Easter Bunny gets even my most reluctant writers engaged!
