Make learning about parts of speech fun with this Easter themed Parts of Speech Game! Task cards are included for individual practice, also!
Everything needed to play the Parts of Speech Game is included in this resource:
• Game Board
• Playing Pieces (or use your own)
• Sentence Cards
• Student Answer Key
At least two students are needed to play: one student to draw a card and identify the part of speech, and another student to verify the part of speech using the student answer key. Let students play the Parts of Speech Game while you work with other students!
To play, students spin the spinner and can either Go Back 2 Spaces, Miss a Turn, or Draw a Card. When they draw a card, the student reads a sentence on the card in which a word is underlined. The student then identifies the part of speech that word is and moves forward a determined number of spaces based on what part of speech the word is. The first student to the end wins!
It is super easy to store this Parts of Speech Game using file folders! Just pull the folder out (or store it where students can access it) and play! Assembly instructions are included.
Task cards are also included:
• Task Card Cover & Instructions
• Task Cards
• Answer Recording Page
• Teacher Answer Key
The task cards are great for individual practice! They use the same sentences from the Parts of Speech Game.
This game is recommended for grades 2-6, but older kids can benefit from parts of speech practice!
