Description

Your students will love Easter Pattern Block Mats!!! Just print, copy, and laminate and add these to your April Math Centers. There are 8 different designs included with 3 different levels of difficulty (23 total mats). The pictures include a chick, chocolate bunny, 2 baskets, Easter bunny, jelly beans, and 2 Easter eggs.

Here are the 3 different levels of difficulty:

1st Level: Students will match the pattern blocks to the shapes on the color mats. They will then count how many of each shape.

2nd Level: Students will match the pattern block shapes to the black and white mats. They can then color the shapes and count how many.

3rd Level: Students will use pattern blocks to figure out how to cover the design. They will then trace the shapes, color, and count how many.

I have also included 8 Task Cards in this pack in case you want to use them in a math center station or have them for fast finishers. The task cards include the same pictures as the big mats (chick, chocolate bunny, 2 baskets, bunny, jelly beans, and 2 Easter eggs). A recording sheet is included for students to complete.

Since, pattern blocks are so much fun, I have also included a blank page (My Design) for your students to create their own pictures or designs. You can use this page all year long!

I hope you love this as much as my kids!

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size.
Model shapes in the world by building shapes from components (e.g., sticks and clay balls) and drawing shapes.
